Saturday night saw Manouche Etcetera in concert for the first time: we loved every minute! Wytham Hall was packed; great to see some familiar faces but also lots of new ones, and the feedback was really fulsome. As much due to Baz Butcher’s excellent hospitality as our playing, no doubt, but still heart-warming! Favourite comment thus far:
“Wishing to write ‘Bravo’ after last night performance at Wythan: you brought joy and delice for the mind, as well as smiles in the audience. Wonderful to watch the audience as well as you: it made one big positive smile!”
We’re first in the White Hart’s jazz series; next up, the Ronnie Scott’s Allstars (a bit of a come-down after us, but I’m sure they’re passable…)
Next gig is 11th Feb in Charlbury, where we’ll be accompanied by the lovely Lizzie Burrowes on vocals. See you there!
